75 years of Kleyling - We celebrate our anniversary in 2022!

10/01/2022

We would like to celebrate our 75th anniversary with you. We have chosen "Together for success!" as the motto for this. With this motto we would like to say "THANK YOU". Thank you to our employees, thank you to our customers and thank you to our partners. It is the people who have gone above and beyond for 75 years and made the Kleyling Group what it is today.

75 years full of events, full of successes, full of challenges, full of life:

In 1947, Wilhelm Kleyling founded the Oberrheinische Schiffahrtskontor in Weil am Rhein, specializing in inland waterway transport and customs clearance activities. 20 years later, the takeover of the customs and truck forwarding company Robert Schwarzkopf in Breisach took place, which was immediately upgraded with the construction of a new forwarding facility. Only five years later, Transports Internationaux Kleyling SAS was founded in F-Algolsheim and the construction of the new forwarding facility in Breisach began. In 1988, the branch in F-Gretz-Armainvilliers near Paris was added, followed in 1995 by the site in Village-Neuf on the Swiss border, and in 2007 EMO TRANS Kleyling GmbH, specializing in air and sea freight, completed the Kleyling Group.

Today, more than 240 employees work at one site in Germany and three in France.

At the beginning of 2022, the German headquarters in Breisach am Rhein will have 15,000 sqm of warehouse space and 9,000 sqm of external storage space. The site in Alsace, with 21,000 sqm of warehouse space and its own workshop for the 80 vehicles in the entire truck fleet, is the headquarters of Kleyling S.A.S. Transports Internationaux. Together, the Kleyling Group provides customers with a broad portfolio of services. In addition to classic transport and logistics services, the range of services also includes multimodal transports, value-added services and customs consulting. Certifications such as IFS, BIO, DEKRA and AEO F status distinguish the transport and logistics company. Responsibility for the (environment) world is one of the top priorities, so in recent years photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, forklifts with lithium-ion batteries, e-hybrid business vehicles and trucks of the latest generation (with EURO 6 standard and better) have been used. In 2019 and 2021, it even won the CO2 Award in France.
